As an educator, it is my responsibility to ensure my students are safe, respected, and especially feel a sense of belonging. They are from countries from around the globe, entering a new world, with hopes and dreams. My classroom is a place of acceptance where I empower the students to gain their confidence in going out into the world, to make a difference, and achieving their goals. DIB is essential in making this happen, it is incorporated in my teaching.
